Zeidan, born in 1983, is part of a artistic family. His mother, Salwa Zeidan, well established painter and sculptor herself and founder and director of the leading art gallery in Abu Dhabi, supports her son’s artistic career in every possible way. Starting in his earliest years, Zeidan occupied himself with abstract art and sculpture. His first solo exhibiton ‘Transformation’ took place in October 2014. Since then, his art was displayed several times in the GCC region.
His art blends photography, digital abstraction and painting into a composition, speaking to the eye and soul at once. Everyday objects are digitally edited to the point where colours and forms shift dramatically. The finished products of his work merge a contemporary-digital procedure with floral and ornamental tradition of Middle Eastern art. His works are available as prints and oil on canvas. Omar Zeidan is creating a much needed bridge between the East and West and unites the possibilities and abilities of both poles.
Today his artworks can be found in various collections, public spaces, hospitals and high-end hotels, both in Abu Dhabi and beyond.
